Wayanad bypoll: Low voter turnout dampens Congress spirits
Political observers say that the massive turnout of crowd during the campaigns of Priyanka in the constituency is not reflected in the polling.
The counting of votes for the Mungaoli and Kolaras Assembly by-polls in Madhya Pradesh began at 8 AM today.
According to the media reports, early trend shows that Congress is ahead in both the seats in Kolaras and Mungaoli, two key Madhya Pradesh Assembly constituencies. Both seats were earlier held by the Congress.
In Kolaras, Congress was leading by 1,373 votes. The party is leading by 1,300 votes in Mungaoli. Security has been stepped up at the two counting centres, the official said.

On February 24, Mungaoli and Kolaras recorded a voters’ turnover of 77.05 and 70.4 per cent respectively.
13 candidates including the Congress’ Brijendra Singh Yadav, BJP’s Bai Sahib are in fray in Mungaoli while 22 candidates including Congress’ Mahendra Singh Yadav and BJP’s Devendra Jain are contesting in Kolaras.
